A banda sonora com o mesmo nome do filme realizado pelo mexicano Dany Saadia é apenas mais uma parcela do imenso repertório melódico onde Robin Guthrie vai deixando a sua marca de mestre da música pop, sobretudo, na sua variante ambient/downtempo.
Embora este produtor e multi-instrumentista seja essencialmente conhecido pelo seu trabalho nos Cocteau Twins a verdade é que a obra musical, mesmo dentro da 4AD, é algo que se confunde com a própria história da mítica editora.
3:19 expressa de forma magistral emoções fortes através de uma empatia entre o clássico e as metamorfoses da electrónica.

The soundtrack of the film with the same name directed by the Mexican Dany Saadia is just another piece of the huge melodic repertoire where Robin Gutherie has been leaving his mark as master of pop music and specially on its ambient/downtempo variant.
Although this producer and multi-instrumentalist is mostly known by his work with Cocteau Twins the truth is that even his musical work inside 4AD is something that can be confused with the mythical record label's history.
3:19 expresses magisterially strong emotions through an empathy between the classic and the electronics's metamorphosis.

Os islandeses Múm são uma das bandas que recomendaria a qualquer melómano. Os primeiros álbuns tiveram um impacto semelhante aos trabalhos dos seus compatriotas Sigur Rós. Summer make good (2004) é um registo que muito aprecio... lamentavelmente foi o último em que participou Kría Brekkan (Kristín Anna Valtýsdóttire) que, entretanto, se dedicou a trabalhos a solo e com o seu namorado Avey Tare (Animal Collective).
Sing along to songs you don't know marca o regresso à alemã Morr Music com uma atmosfera de beleza acústica e muita delicadeza e riqueza instrumental.

The Icelandic Múm are one of the bands I would recommend to any music lover. Their first albums had an impact similar to the ones of their compatriots Sigur Rós. Summer make good (2004) is a registry I appreciate... unfortunately it was the last one where Kría Brekkan (Kristín Anna Valtýsdóttire) participated. She has, in the mean time, been dedicating herself to works both solo and with her boyfriend Avey Tare (Animal Collective).
Sing along to songs you don't know signals the return to the German Morr Music with an atmosphere of acoustic beauty and lots of delicacy and instrumental richness.

Como na música a razão é uma palavra que inúmeras vezes aflige e distorce... limito-me a dizer que um espírito musical anseia por coisas diferentes... melodias escondidas, um loop que seduz, um beat que se cola, um improviso que contagia, um ritmo que dá energia, uma voz que cura... muitas vezes balanço entre a melodia da pop escandinava (agora está na moda com atributos merecidos, sobretudo a sueca) e o krautwave alemão (a melodia dá lugar ao ritmo e ao experimentalismo). É neste intervalo de coisas aparentemente tão opostas que muitas vezes oriento a minha pesquisa musical.
No caso deste álbum de Moderat (junção de Sascha Ring (Apparat) com Gernot Bronsert e Sebastian Szary (Modeselektor) é na essência minimalista, muito desprovida de melodia, que encontro o apetite de o consumir.
Sou um fã da Bpitch Control...

Since in music the concept of reason is as situation that countless times afflicts and distorts... I just say that a musical spirit craves for different things... hidden melodies, a seductive loop, a gluing beat, a contaminating improvise, an energetic rhythm, a voice that heals... many times I balance between the Scandinavian Pop melody (it is now in fashion with deserved attributes, specially the Swedish) and the German krautwave (the melody gives place to rhythm and experimentalism). It is in this gap of apparently opposed things that many times I direct my musical research.
In the case of this Moderat's album (gathering of Sacha Ring (Apparat) with Gernot Bronsert and Sebastian Szary (Modeselektor) it's in the minimalist essence very unprovided of melody that if find the appetite to consume it.
I'm a fan of Bpitch Control...
