2003
Estive a rever os discos deste ano de 2003 e constatei que tivemos... um ano fraco.
Ao contrário do que tem acontecido em anos anteriores, não há um grande conjunto de discos que nos entusiasmem verdadeiramente ao ponto de os classificarmos como absolutamente indispensáveis.

Já em relação a 2004, parece-me que vamos ter um ano em cheio, com música fantástica! Apenas 3 razões:
a) 2004 será o ano em que os Air regressam. Já estive a ouvir "talkie walkie" e, posso garantir tratar-se de um álbum soberbo. É a produção musical mais próxima de "moon safari" ainda que, aqui e ali, sintamos a falta de vozes como a de Beth Hirsch. Sai em Janeiro.
b) em Fevereiro é publicado o duplo álbum do projecto liderado por Kurt Wagner. Os Lambchop regressam com um álbum que se traduz, simplesmente, num dos discos mais belos que pude ouvir nos últimos anos.
c) o próximo ano vai trazer-nos um novo disco de P.J.Harvey.
Se, a estas, juntar outros regressos marcados para 2004 mais a habitual quota de novos projectos que surgem, surpreendendo-nos, a previsão que faço é, no mínimo, legítima.

Voltando a 2003, e pelas razões que já referi, não é fácil construir uma pequena lista de eleitos. Ainda assim, e se tivesse de o fazer, não teria dúvida alguma que o melhor álbum de 2003 seria "fever to tell" dos Yeah Yeah Yeahs e o segundo melhor, "rose" de Maximilian Hecker. Estas seriam as minhas escolhas... as grandes questões começam a partir daqui.

Já agora, e para que o tempo que gastei com este exercício não seja transformado em desperdício, deixo-vos uma lista de alguns discos que, certamente, marcaram 2003.
