Os islandeses Múm são uma das bandas que recomendaria a qualquer melómano. Os primeiros álbuns tiveram um impacto semelhante aos trabalhos dos seus compatriotas Sigur Rós. Summer make good (2004) é um registo que muito aprecio... lamentavelmente foi o último em que participou Kría Brekkan (Kristín Anna Valtýsdóttire) que, entretanto, se dedicou a trabalhos a solo e com o seu namorado Avey Tare (Animal Collective).
Sing along to songs you don't know marca o regresso à alemã Morr Music com uma atmosfera de beleza acústica e muita delicadeza e riqueza instrumental.

The Icelandic Múm are one of the bands I would recommend to any music lover. Their first albums had an impact similar to the ones of their compatriots Sigur Rós. Summer make good (2004) is a registry I appreciate... unfortunately it was the last one where Kría Brekkan (Kristín Anna Valtýsdóttire) participated. She has, in the mean time, been dedicating herself to works both solo and with her boyfriend Avey Tare (Animal Collective).
Sing along to songs you don't know signals the return to the German Morr Music with an atmosphere of acoustic beauty and lots of delicacy and instrumental richness.

Como na música a razão é uma palavra que inúmeras vezes aflige e distorce... limito-me a dizer que um espírito musical anseia por coisas diferentes... melodias escondidas, um loop que seduz, um beat que se cola, um improviso que contagia, um ritmo que dá energia, uma voz que cura... muitas vezes balanço entre a melodia da pop escandinava (agora está na moda com atributos merecidos, sobretudo a sueca) e o krautwave alemão (a melodia dá lugar ao ritmo e ao experimentalismo). É neste intervalo de coisas aparentemente tão opostas que muitas vezes oriento a minha pesquisa musical.
No caso deste álbum de Moderat (junção de Sascha Ring (Apparat) com Gernot Bronsert e Sebastian Szary (Modeselektor) é na essência minimalista, muito desprovida de melodia, que encontro o apetite de o consumir.
Sou um fã da Bpitch Control...

Since in music the concept of reason is as situation that countless times afflicts and distorts... I just say that a musical spirit craves for different things... hidden melodies, a seductive loop, a gluing beat, a contaminating improvise, an energetic rhythm, a voice that heals... many times I balance between the Scandinavian Pop melody (it is now in fashion with deserved attributes, specially the Swedish) and the German krautwave (the melody gives place to rhythm and experimentalism). It is in this gap of apparently opposed things that many times I direct my musical research.
In the case of this Moderat's album (gathering of Sacha Ring (Apparat) with Gernot Bronsert and Sebastian Szary (Modeselektor) it's in the minimalist essence very unprovided of melody that if find the appetite to consume it.
I'm a fan of Bpitch Control...

Se em 2007 os Little Dragon no lançamento do álbum homónimo não arriscaram para lá do território da pop escorreita que já caracterizava o ambiente sonoro de bandas similires comos os Koop, não deixa de ser verdade que, embora a matéria criativa deste segundo registo continue a orbitar em torno da voz sensual e cativante de Yukimi Nagano, se nota uma busca por algum experimentalismo que coloca este trabalho num patamar mais arrojado.

If in 2007 when they launched their homonym album Little Dragon didn't risk beyond the territory of simple pop that already characterized the environment sound of similar bands like Koop, it is not far from true that, although the creative matter of this second registry keeps orbiting around the sensual and captivating voice of Yukimi Nagano, it is noticed a search for some experimentalism that places this work in a more bold level.

Dean Wareham e Britta Phillips iniciram um percurso de comunhão musical nos Luna (o fim desta fabulosa banda americana aconteceu em 2005 com um documentário sobre a sua última digressão) - Dean foi um dos fundadores da banda a que Britta se haveria de juntar em 2000.
Em 2003 Dean & Britta editam o seu primeiro álbum l'avventura ao qual se seguiu back numbers.
A pop deste duo retém algumas das características que definiam a sofisticação musical dos Luna como também se notam certas nuances dos Galaxie 500 - outro projecto onde está presente Dean - apesar do espírito que sublima a qualidade de back numbers ser um intimismo sublinhado pelas excelentes vozes do duo.

Dean Wareham and Britta Phillips began a path of musical communion in Luna (The end of this fabulous American band took place in 2005 with a documentary about their last tour) – Dean was one of the band's founders to whom Brita would join in 2000.
In 2003 Dean & Britta edited their first album l'avventura followed by back numbers.
This duo's pop retains some of the characteristics that defined the musical sophistication of Luna and it is possible to notice some Galaxie500 – another project Dean is present at - nuances even though the spirit that sublimes the quality of back numbers is an intimacy strengthened by the duo's excellent voices.

Emma Nylén é um nome incontornável da pop sueca devido ao trabalho no seu projecto pessoal Emmon, no colectivo Paris, pelo remixes que realiza para outras bandas - entre as quais se destacam os Knife - e pela sua actividade como Dj.
Close wanderings, segundo álbum de Emmon, mostra a fidelidade da artista à synthpop/electropop, onde os sintetizadores e sons computarizados, que tiveram a sua marca na década de oitenta, funcionam como base criativa para as suas canções com o agradável perfume da dance music.
Lips on fire é uma das faixas em que o lado instrumental dançante é sublimado pela voz sensual de Emma Nylen.

Emma Nylén is an unavoidable name in Swedish Pop due to the work both in her personal project Emmon and the collective Paris, the remixes she does to other bands – among which the Knife can be highlighted - and her activity as DJ.
Close wanderings, the second Emmon album shows the artist's fidelity to àsynthpop/electropop, where the synthesizers and computerized sounds, that marked the eighties, work as a creative basis to her songs with the pleasant perfume of dance music.

O quarto álbum dos Metric para além de revelar mais uma etapa de sucesso no percurso desta banda canadiana permite também fazer um balanço que ilustra a excelente maturidade musical, perspectivando-se trabalhos de muita qualidade no futuro. Apesar do fabuloso live it out (2005) ser uma herança que gerava grandes expectativas a verdade é que fantasies é feito da mesma fibra que o seu antecessor... os momentos pop/rock em que que o convite para saltar e dançar são apelativos alternam com faixas mais intimistas em que a genial Emily Haines nos deixa suspensos num intimismo com cor dream pop.

The fourth album of Metric, besides revealing one more step on the successful path of this Canadian band, makes it also possible to an analysis that illustrates its excellent musical maturity, and let us foresee works of high quality in the future. Although the fabulous live it out (2005) caries an inheritance that generated high expectations the truth is that fantasies is made of the same fiber as its predecessor... the pop/rock moments when an invitation to jump and dance is made are appealing alternate with more intimate songs on which the genial Emily Haines lets us suspending in a dream pop coloured intimacy.
